UPDATE: Identity of man struck by train released

The identity of the man struck by a train in Trevor early Tuesday morning has been released by the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department.

Adam Sanchez, 18, of Twin Lakes, is in critical condition at Froedtert Hospital as of Tuesday afternoon.

Sanchez was on the tracks with intent to video the moving train with his cell phone, a news release on the incident ¬†from the sheriff’s department said. Reportedly, the conductor of the Canadian National train saw the man and began to slow it down (approximately 35 miles per hour). The man failed to remove himself from the tracks in time and was struck. He was taken by Flight for Life helicopter to Froedtert Hospital. The man was with four other subjects of similar age, none of which were injured.
