Two arrested in Twin Lakes for firing gun outside house

Two men were arrested and are being held in the Kenosha County Jail after firing a gun outside of a Twin Lakes residence early Wednesday.

A 20-year-old Twin Lakes man and a 23-year-old Richmond man were arrested by Twin Lakes Police and are in the jail awaiting formal charges. The Kenosha County Tactical Team was called to make entry to the house, when the suspect refused to come out.

Here’s a news release from the Twin Lakes Police Department about the incident:

On Wednesday, 8/16/17 at 12:23 AM, Twin Lakes Police Officers were called to the 2100 block of Haegele Dr. in the Village of Twin Lakes to investigate a neighbor reporting two male subjects firing a gun out side a residence. Upon arrival, officers approached the residence and heard yelling inside. A short time later, a male subject walked on to the front porch and proceeded to fire several shots from a pistol into the ground. The male subject went back inside the house, came out again, and fired several more shots.  Officers ordered the male subject to drop the gun. He ignored the order, walked back inside the house, and closed the door. Several deputies from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department responded to assist. Attempts to have the suspects exit the home were unsuccessful and the Kenosha County Tactical Response Team made entry into the residence. Two male subjects were in the home and were both taken into custody. Witnesses indicated that both of the male subjects had been outside shooting the firearm prior to the police arriving. A firearm was recovered, and several rounds of ammunition casings were found outside the residence. One bullet struck a neighboring house, going through a garage wall and lodging into a service door to the home. While the residents were in the home at the time, no one was injured. A 20 year old male from Twin lakes and a 23 year old male from Richmond, IL were transported and are being held at the Kenosha County Jail. Several criminal charges will be submitted to the Kenosha County Attorney later today (Wednesday).”
