Pringle Nature Center Naturalist Valerie Mann was as the Project Learning Tree (PLT) Facilitator of the Year for 2017 at the Wisconsin Association for Environmental Education’s Celebration for Excellence in Environmental Education Award Ceremony.
This award honors outstanding educators for their commitment to quality environmental education and exemplary use of PLT materials. The Project Learning Tree Facilitator of the Year helps teachers and preservice teachers throughout the state bring forestry-based environmental education into their classrooms, thereby helping instill an appreciation for forests in the next generation.
