2017 National Night Out in Twin Lakes coverage (PHOTOS & VIDEO)

National Night Out was Tuesday night St John’s Church, 701 N. Lake Ave., Twin Lakes. Various Police and fire agencies were present with personnel and equipment.  Twin Lakes Fire and Rescue, Randall Fire , Wheatland Fire, Twin Lake Police Department, Twin Lakes Water Patrol,  Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, Flight For Life, Richmond Police, and Wheatland Constable.  Other groups represented were WISE – Wisconsin Initiative Safety Education, Sharing Center, Women and Children’s Horizons, and Boy Scout Troop 380.

Kids received a goodie bag. There were door prizes including the big prize of a bike. Pizza, soda, water and cookies were free.

Twin Lakes police had unclaimed bikes available for purchase for a donation to their K9 fund.  An anonymous donor had pledged to match donations up to $3,000 made that evening.

Several demonstrations were put on by the various agencies. There were fire apparatus, police vehicles, and the Kenosha County Fire Safety House.

This year’s volunteer was Cheryl Lynn.
