The two beaches on Lake George in Bristol tested this week showed water E.coli levels below the caution and closure levels.
Below are the test results for samples taken July 25, 2017:
- Lake George (101 st ) – 135 E.coli/100 mL
- Lake George (South) – 57 E.coli/100 mL
The testing was performed by the Kenosha County Division of health.
Levels above 235 E.coli/100 mL prompt a swimming caution. A beach is closed to swimming when test results exceed 1,000 E.coli/100ml.
Testing is to continue weekly this summer at the two beaches, a village announcement of the results said.
