July 26, 2017 lake test results: North Shore on Paddock Lake and Lake Shangri-la under caution; Paddock Hooker Lake Assoc. beach reopens

The North Shore Association beach on Paddock Lake and Lake Shangri-la were put on swim cautions Tuesday due to water test results showing elevated levels of E.coli.

Testing results from Tuesday at the North Shore Association beach were 261 E.coli/100 mL.

Testing results from Tuesday at Lake Shangri-la were 548 E.coli/100 mL.

Levels above 235 E.coli/100 mL prompt a swimming caution. A beach is closed to swimming when test results exceed E.coli 1,000/100ml.

The beaches will be tested again Wednesday by the Kenosha County Division of Health.

The Paddock Hooker Lake Association beach on Paddock Lake that had been closed to swimming last week due to test results is now open again. Its test results from Tuesday were 6 E.coli/100 mL.

Results from other beaches tested by the Kenosha County Division of Health and below caution or closure levles were:

Salem Lakes — Camp Lake, 68 E.coli/100 mL; Rock Lake, 58 E.coli/100 mL; Center Lake, 33 E.coli/100 mL.

Paddock Lake — Hoag Park, 11 E.coli/100 mL; PHLA, 6 E.coli/100 mL.
