Traffic very heavy near Country Thunder grounds in Randall

If you are heading west in Kenosha County Thursday night — and not going to the Country Thunder country music festival in Randall– you might want to find a route that goes around that area.

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department made the following announcement about 6 p.m. tonight (via Facebook):

Country Thunder traffic is currently very heavy. Local residents can obtain vehicle placards to make navigating traffic efficient. Placards can be obtained at the Twin Lakes Police Department or the Sheriff’s Department command post on 110th Street west of the festival entrance. Residents must provide ID or proof of residency to obtain a placard. We are working to clear up the situation. Drive safely and carefully!

Don’t worry, most of us will not get in the way of the event. I can wait untill next week to visit the area.
