Note: With the help of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, we will be telling our readers what work took place on the Highway 45 project in the week just past and what is expected to take place in the coming week. Check back every Friday for the latest.
What happened this week (week of July 3) — Binder layer paved on US 45 between County C and 86th Street prior to Progress Days and the stretch between County C and BP’s driveway. Highway 45 from Highway C to 86th Street will be drive-able on a temporary basis this weekend to facilitate access to Progress Days. However, village official are still urging people to enter the festival at Hansen Park from alternate locations, such as Highway D to 83rd Street. Common excavation continued on US 45 between County JS and County C, followed by storm sewer installation between 86th St. and 83rd St. Signal installations continue at US 45 and County C Intersection and US 45 and County A2/WG Intersection.

Storm sewer installation will continue on US 45 between 86th St and 83rd St. Signal Installations at US 45 and County C Intersection and US 45 and County A2/WG Intersection.

Is it possible to also get a weekly update on how far ahead or behind schedule this project is?
With weather delays and the possibility of putting in overtime to make up missed days the contractor is hopefully doing all he can to keep up. Or not.
