Highway 45 update June 30, 2017: Continued common excavation, storm sewer installation, rain delays

Note: With the help of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, we will be telling our readers what work took place on the Highway 45 project in the week just past and what is expected to take place in the coming week. Check back every Friday for the latest.

What happened this week (week of June 26) — Continued common excavation continued for turn lanes and bypass lanes between 192nd and County C. US 45 and County C Intersection: Began building the wall on the northeast corner, began installing pull boxes and signal bases. Began installing storm sewer on US 45 between 86 th St. and 83 rd St. Rain delayed production.

What’s expected to happen next week (week of June 3) — Paving binder on SU 45 between County C and 86 th St. prior to Progress Days and on the stretch between County C and BP’s driveway. Storm sewer installation will continue on SU 45 between 86 th St and 83 rd St. The wall on County C will be finished.
