Rainy, stormy Wednesday, Thursday, Friday in forecast

Significant chances of rain and/or thunderstorms are in the latest, local National Weather Service forecast for Western Kenosha County for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Wednesday, there’s an 80 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms, with the greatest likelihood between 11 a.m. and noon. A strong chance of showers and storms will re-emerge tonight between about 8 p.m. and midnight.

Thursday there’s an 20-50 percent chance of thunderstorms increasing as the day goes on and into the night with the greatest chance of a storm coming after midnight Friday.

Friday, there’s a 70 percent chance of thunderstorms, but mostly before 1 p.m., giving things a chance to dry out some before the extended Fourth of July weekend.

High temperatures through this period should be in the high 70s and low 80s with lows in the 60s.
