2017 Dairy Breakfast coverage (PHOTOS)

A little drizzle and mud didn’t stop 3,152 people from enjoying pancakes,eggs and ice cream at the 36th annual Kenosha County Dairy Breakfast Saturday morning. The Daniels Dairy Farm, 1166 240th Ave., was the host for the third time. Seven generations of Daniels having been farming the land since 1844. People could visit their 310 Holsteins that produce 21,000 pounds of milk a day. They also raise crops on their 600 acres. The Dairy Promotion Committee recognized the Daniels family for hosting. They also presented their annual scholarship. This year’s recipient is Brian Lois. He will be attending the Iowa State, majoring in Ag Business. There were pieces of farm equipment and games for the kids. The breakfast was $6 for adults and children under 6 were free.
