Wilmot loses to Kaukauna in softball state championship game

The Wilmot Union High School Panthers lost to the Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts in the WIAA Division 1 state championship game Saturday.

The game was a low scoring affair, with a final score of 3-1.

Wilmot got out to a fast start, scoring their only run in the top of the first inning, when Kalyssa Koehn doubled, scoring lead off hitter Haley Lamberson from second.

But Kaukauna matched that score in the bottom of the first and was able to add a run each in the third and fifth innings.
