Highway 45 update June 9, 2017: Signal installation at 45 and WG continues, pond grading

Note: With the help of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, we will be telling our readers what work took place on the Highway 45 project in the week just past and what is expected to take place in the coming week. Check back every Friday for the latest.

What happened this week (week of June 5) — Sawcutting and base patching operations continued at the County C intersection. New signals continued to be installed at the County WG/US 45 intersection. Grading operations for the pond behind 45 Diner were complete. Cross culverts and storm sewer were installed at the County C / US 45 Intersection. Due to some unanticipated utility conflicts, utilities are still working on proper relocations. Because of this unanticipated work, the closure of US 45 and County C has been extended.

What’s expected to happen next week ( Week of June 12) — Sawcutting and base patching operations will continue. Closure of the stage 2 limits (86th Street to northern limits) put in place. Mill work to take place from 86th Street to northern limits. Underground signal work being installed for the County C/ US 45 intersection. New signals will continue to be installed at County WG/US 45. Cross culverts and storm sewer to continue to be installed. Permanent signing at County WG / US 45 to take place.
