Take a close look at the action pictures, it’s clear to see that both teams played with intensity and grit. It was a classic battle of 2 well coached teams. Neither team left anything on the field, they played their hearts out. The emotional impact of the contest was riveting, one team left the field with tears of disappointment streaming down their faces, the other with tears of joy. Both teams deserve to walk away from this rivalry with their heads held high. Congrats to both teams and their coaches for terrific seasons. Though I am a dyed in the wool “Falcon Fan”, I must confess that this week, I’ll be cheering for the Wilmot Panthers at State. Good luck to all the gals from both teams, a tip of the batting helmet to the Panthers. GO WILMOT!
