Lawn Chair Learning series to focus on garden and landscape topics

A series on garden and landscape topics held at various Master Gardener Volunteer project sites throughout Racine and Kenosha Counties is taking place through June.

The Lawn Chair Learning Series takes place on Tuesday evenings, 6-7 p.m. This series is  free and open to the public. It will take place outdoors.  Bring your own lawn chair. If inclement weather, the session will be cancelled. No registration required.

The remaining sessions are:

  • June 6  – DeKoven Center, 600 21st St.,  Racine – Perennial Plant Maintenance.
  • June 13 – Somers Town Hall, 7511 12th St., Somers – Rain Gardens.
  • June 20 – Teaching Garden, 2000 Dekoven Ave., Racine –  Ways to Stake Tomatoes.
  • June 27 – Kenosha County Center,  19600 75th St., Bristol – Foodscaping.

Sessions are taught by Jeanne Hilinske-Christensen, Interim Horticulture Educator and Master Gardener volunteers.
