A power feed to a local substation from American Tranmission Co. has been restored, which should help bring more residents without power in Western Kenosha County back online, said Brian Manthey, a We Energies spokesman.
As of about 11 a.m., only obout 2,000 residents remained without power in Kenosha County, Manthey said. At its peak, the outage effected almost 14,000.
The outage was caused by a lost feed from ATC to a We Energies substation, Manthey said. We Energies crews worked to reroute power around that substation to restore power while awiting the restoration of the ATC feed.
