Identity of man who died in crash with school bus released

The identity of a man who died after a van he was driving rear-ended a school bus in Trevor on Friday has been released.

The driver of the van was Peter Thomas Marsalek, 21, of Antioch, said a statement from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department released Monday.

The bus had just picked up a student in the 24500 block of Highway C when the crash occurred, with the van impacting the bus in the rear. There were 19 students and a driver on the bus, which was transporting students to Central High School in Paddock Lake. Four students had minor injuries. Three were transported to local hospitals by ambulance and one refused further treatment.

Preliminary photos and evidence at the scene of the crash show little or no skid marks from the the van, a delivery vehicle owned by a local tile company, Sheriff David Beth said Friday.
