Highway 45 Update May 12, 2017: State line road intersection work begins, more culverts, more utility relocations

Note: With the help of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, we will be telling our readers what work took place on the Highway 45 project in the week just past and what is expected to take place in the coming week. Check back every Friday for the latest.

What happened this week (week of May 8) — Common excavation and marsh excavation was performed on the southbound side of US 45 heading from County C to 86th Street. Storm sewer crews replaced two cross culverts on US 45 between 86 th St. and County C. Common excavation for additional lanes was performed on at the County A2/WG and US 45 Intersection. Utilities continued relocations.

What’s expected for next week (week of May 15) — Common excavation will continue on the northbound side of US 45 heading from County A2/WG to County Q. County A2/WG and US 45 Intersection: Concrete work will begin, electrical facilities for signals will be staked out, conduit for signal will begin being installed. Utilities will continue relocations.
