Salem Lakes to move forward with bonds for sewer projects

The Salem Lakes Village Board on Monday authorized moving ahead with issuing $3.69 million in bonds for upcoming sewer projects.

Village administrator Patrick Casey explained: “A few years back the Town created a ten year sewer utility master plan that identify projects necessary to keep the collection and treatment process sound and reliable. The Town finished the first projects last year and is now going forward to the next set of projects.”

The bonds will have a 20-year term. They will be paid for with utility system revenues.

Authorizing the bonds was approved unanimously.
