Flood warning issued

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Fox River in Western Kenosha County.

The river was measured at 9.4 feet at 11 a.m. at the New Munster gauge. Bank full stage is 10 feet. Flood stage is 11 feet. That level is expected to be reached Monday night.

The forecast for a crest has been downgraded about a foot since Saturday to 11.4 feet, expected to be reached Tuesday afternoon.
