The music departments of five Western Kenosha County schools will combine at Wilmot High School for the sixth annual Wilmot Band Festival at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 8.

More than 650 students in fourth through 12th grades from Lakewood, Randall, Riverview, Trevor-Wilmot, and Wilmot schools will present a concert festival titled “Student Choice,” where the students suggested, voted on and rehearsed the featured selections.

Music from “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “The Incredibles,” 1980’s rock music, and from the pen of some of today’s most prolific concert band composers will culminate with the national march, “The Stars and Stripes Forever” with all students performing together.

Band directors David Dvorak and Jennifer Vanderloop from Randall, Madeline Weirick from Trevor-Wilmot, Mallory Hillock from Riverview, Matthew Maccari from Lakewood and John Sorensen from Wilmot High will lead the concert festival.

Tickets may be obtained prior to the concert from any of the school music departments or at the door on Saturday. Doors open for general seating at 5:30 p.m.
