UPDATE: Crest for Fox River adjusted higher; flood warning continues

WEATHER-ALERT-logo-all-3-webThe National Weather Service has adjusted its forecast for a crest of the Fox River about a foot higher than what was anticipated earlier in the week.

The river is now expected to crest at 11.9 feet, reaching that level in the very early hours of Friday morning.

A flood warning continues to be in effect.

The river was at 10.96 feet at 5:45 p.m. as measured at the New Munster gauge. Flood stage is 11 feet.

The river is forecast to be back under flood stage by Monday afternoon.
