Salem Lakes to host Egg Hunt on April 1 and Eggstravaganza April 8

pastel-colored-eggs-sxc-luvlymumsySalem Lakes will be hosting two Easter related events incorporating elements of traditional events presented in the past by the town of Salem and village of Silver Lake.

Salem Lakes first annual Easter egg hunt will be held April 1 at 11 a.m. at Schmalfeldt Park in Silver Lake. The egg hunt is for ages 2 through 10.

Schmalfeldt Park is located at 383 S. Railroad Street, Silver Lake.

Rain date for the egg hunt is April 8 at the same time and place. (Forecast for April 1 available on March 30 calls for sunny skies and a high of 53.)

Salem Lakes first annual Easter Eggstravaganza will take place April 8 starting at 1 p.m. at Salem Town Hall in Salem.

The Eggstravaganza will feature kids crafts, coloring contest and pictures with the Easter bunny — bring your own camera.

Salem Town Hall is located at 9814 Antioch Road, Salem.

The village of Salem Lakes was formed Feb. 14 through the merger of Salem and Silver Lake.
