Gas station nostalgia program at Friends of the Community Library annual dinner April 3

Dinosaurs and Red stars on signs in front of gas stations and round crowns on top of gas pumps. Sound familiar or not? Either way please join the Friends of the Community Library at their annual dinner when they present Jim Draeger as the guest speaker. He is a well known author, TV and radio personality and a member of the Wisconsin Historical Society’s Speaker Bureau. His topic will be “Fill ‘er Up”, a nostalgic look at Wisconsin gas stations of a bygone era.

The dinner will take place at the Fire Pit, 12417 Antioch Road in Trevor on April 3. There will be a short meeting at 4:30 p.m., cash bar at 5 p.m., buffet at 5:30 p.m. and author presentation at 6:30 p.m. The dinner is open to everyone and the cost is $25 per person. Reservations should be made by March 24 .
