Lake effect snow warning shortened

The National Weather Service has shortened the term of a lake effect snow warning for our area.

The warning will now be in effect until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

At about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, we measured another 1.5 inches of snowfall overnight, though that may have been diminished somewhat by drifting. That would be a total by our measurement of about 5.5 inches for the Sunday-Monday-Tuesday snow event.

Meanwhile, look for it to be cold Tuesday. Tuesday’s high temperature will be about 23, but wind of 10 to 15 mph will result in wind chill values between 0 and 10.
