Windy start to week; rain and storm possible Monday night

wind-sock-sxc-Milan-Jurek-webThe latest, local National Weather Service forecast continues to expect warmer than usual temperatures for early this week, but that will be tempered somewhat by windy conditions through Wednesday.

For example, Monday’s high is expected to reach 60. But with winds of 15 to 20 and gusts as high as 35, it probably won’t feel that warm.

Monday night, rain is expected, coming most likely between about 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. A thunderstorm may develop during that time.

Though Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be clear, temperatures will be dropping with a high of 53 Tuesday and 43 Wednesday. Tuesday and Wednesday could see even a little stronger wind — 15 to 25 mph Tuesday and 20 to 30 mph Wednesday with gusts as high as 45 mph both days.
