Winter weather advisory issued

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for an area of Wisconsin that includes Western Kenosha County.

The advisory is in effect until 6 a.m., Saturday.

The advisory warns of ice accumulating on roads causing hazardous driving conditions.

The latest, local NWS forecast calls for “drizzle and freezing drizzle, possibly mixed with snow before midnight, then snow likely, possibly mixed with freezing drizzle between midnight and 2am, then snow after 2am. Patchy fog. Low around 23. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.”

Any chance of snow should be over by 9 a.m.

The high temperature Saturday should be 27.
