Central HS forensics takes second in Union Grove

The Central High School Forensics team won a second place team trophy at their first  tournament of the season in Union Grove on Saturday, Feb. 4.

Results included:

  • Tori Salerno earning a medal in Demonstration.
  • Adam Simmons earning a medal in Extemporaneous.
  • Aysiah Aguilar earning a medal in Four Minute.
  • Alex Kelly, Grace Jahnke, and Emily Houtz earning a medal in Group Interpretation.
  • Haley Gorsuch and Madison LeRoy earning a 3rd place trophy in Group Interpretation.
  • Vanessa Tym and Veronica Bursek-Krekling earning a 2nd place trophy in Group Interpretation.
  • Jennifer Young received a 1st place trophy in Moments in History.
  • Joyce Ripenhagen received a medal in Prose.
  • Elise Wember and John Filiatreault both received medals in Public Address,.
  • Will Cushman received a medal in Radio.
  • Sally Windler received a medal in Special Occasion.
  • Maria Grenyo received a second place trophy in Storytelling.

The team is off to a great start and will be competing in Delavan/Darien’s tournament on Saturday, February 18th.
