Four Central High School students participated in the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Saxophone Summit on Feb. 4.
Representing Central were: Austin Pelphrey, Adam Kordecki, Kelsey Kurylo and Kyle Vivian.
Guest artist Joe Lulloff was featured at the Wisconsin Saxophone Summit. Lulloff presented a masterclass and performance. Lulloff is Professor of Saxophone at Michigan State University, a world renowned performer and pedagogue, and a native Wisconsinite.
A large saxophone orchestra that everyone can participate in (high school students, college students, pros, amateurs, etc) also was part of the summit. This ensemble performed fun arrangements by Mussorgsky, Elgar, Grainger, and the ensemble was conducted by UWO’s Director of Bands Devin Otto.
