Fox River over flood level at New Munster

WEATHER-ALERT-logo-all-3-webThe Fox River has exceeded flood level at the New Munster gauge.

A flood warning remains in effect.

The river officially exceeded flood stage of 11 feet just after midnight Saturday morning when it was measured at 11.02 feet. At 6 p.m., it was measured at 11.47 feet.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for the river to crest at 11.9 feet around midnight Monday. The is expected to drop below flood level again by Thursday afternoon.
