Units responding to crash in Salem

At about 10:10 a.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a crash in the 26400 block of 85th Street (Highway F) in Salem (near Silver Lake County Park).

Per dispatch: A single vehicle has struck a tree. An occupant may be pinned in the vehicle.

UPDATE 10:15 a.m. — Town of Salem Fire/Rescue Station 4 being toned out to assist at the scene.

UPDATE abut 10:21 a.m. — Landing zone for Flight for Life medical transport helicopter being set up.

UPDATE 10:31 a.m. — Traffic being blocked in both directions.

UPDATE 10:36 a.m. — Flight for Life helicopter in the air. Estimated time of arrival at the scene 10 minutes.

UPDATE 10:46 a.m. — Helicopter on the scene at landing zone.
