Employees of Northlake Engineering in Bristol that were planning a company Christmas party came up with a fun and effective way to also do some good for the community.

The Northlake employees formed a team challenge to collect food for The Sharing Center and called it “Team Up Against Hunger.”

The participating employees broke up into teams of about 10 members each. The team that collected the most would be treated to lunch at Bristol 45 Diner.

In the end, the drive ended up collecting 3,915 items to be donated to The Sharing Center, said Laurie Leese, Northlake production control manager.

“We’re pretty excited about it,” Leese said.
