The identity of the person who died in a crash on Highway SA Tuesday afternoon has been released by the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department.
Irmalicia Trevino, 20, of Paddock Lake was pronounced dead at the scene, said a KCSD media release.
From the media release (some edits made):
On December 20, 2016 at 2:38 PM, Deputies responded to the 24900 block of CTH SA/103rd St for a crash involving two vehicles. The two lane highway was icy with snow/slush accumulation due to windy conditions. A 2003 Jeep operated by (a) Lake Villa, Illinois resident …, 43 years of age and occupied by the passenger, (a) Town of Salem resident …, 25 years of age was eastbound on Hwy. SA. A 2005 Saturn Ion was being operated westbound on Hwy SA by Village of Paddock Lake resident Irmalicia Trevino, 20 years of age. Trevino’s vehicle lost control and left the roadway then came back across the eastbound lane and was struck by (the other) vehicle in the driver’s door area. Trevino was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Kenosha County Medical Examiner’s Office. (The occupants of the other car) were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. At the time of the crash the roadway was snow covered and slippery due to blowing snow. Road conditions and traveling too fast for those conditions are the predominant factors in this crash. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor. The investigation is continuing.
