At about 6:34 a.m., Bristol Fire and Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to crash in the 21200 block of Highway K in Bristol.
Per dispatch: Car and a pick-up truck involved. Some occupants may be trapped in vehicles.
UPDATE 6:39 a.m. — Fire units arriving on scene. Deputy on scene confirms at least one person trapped in truck.
UPDATE 6:43 a.m. — Bristol Fire command requests an additional ambulance from Town of Salem Fire/Rescue and an engine company from Pleasant Prairie as mutual aid. Chief reports individuals trapped in both vehicles.
UPDATE 6:49 a.m. — Bristol Fire command requesting response from Flight for Life medical transport helicopter. Pleasant Prairie engine company being diverted to set up landing zone.
UPDATE about 6:54 a.m. — One trapped patient free; firefighters still working on freeing other patient.
UPDATE 7:02 a.m. — Second patient freed from vehicle.
UPDATE about 7:05 a.m. — Deputy requests flatbed tows for both vehicles.
UPDATE 7:17 a.m. — Bristol Fire command reports to dispatch that both patients ended up being transported via ambulance to local hospitals. Command terminated and all remaining fire units returning to quarters. Deputies still on scene gathering crash info.
UPDATE 7:22 a.m. — Deputies directing traffic around scene.
