Winter storm warning issued

WEATHER-ALERT-logo-all-3-webThe National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for a part of Wisconsin that includes Kenosha County.

The warning will be in effect from 6 p.m. Saturday through 8 p.m. Sunday.

The latest, local forecast now calls for a 100 percent chance of snow Saturday afternoon, Saturday night and Sunday. Snow should begin falling at about 4 p.m. Saturday. Total accumulation in the local forecast Saturday through Sunday is 5 to 9 inches.

After the snowfall, wind should start picking up Sunday night, becoming 5 to 15 mph.

Temperatures should start plunging Tuesday, with high temps on Wednesday and Thursday in single digits and lows below zero or close to it
