Identity released of man found in submerged car in Brighton

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department has released the identity of a man found in a submerged car in Brighton Saturday.

Leonard P. Jagielski, 49, of the Town of Burlington, was already dead when he was found in the vehicle Saturday afternoon.

From a KCSD news release:

The Kenosha County Medical Examiner’s Office has made positive identification of the deceased operator of the vehicle involved in the crash which occurred on 10/29/2016 in the Town of Brighton.  A vehicle was found overturned in a pond at that location. The deceased has been identified as Leonard P. Jagielski a 49 year old resident of the Town of Burlington.  Jagielski was the subject of a missing person report to the Racine County Sheriff’s Department on 10/29/16. The Medical Examiner has determined the cause of death at this time of drowning. Toxicology results are pending. The investigation is continuing.
