High temp to top 80 Monday

hot-thermometer-istockThe latest, local National Weather Service forecast says the high temperature Monday will top 80, a double take inducing level for mid-October in Wisconsin.

It also will be fairly breezy Monday, with a southwest wind from 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph during the day and gusts as high as 35 mph Monday night.

The warm temps are not expected to last, however. After a high Tuesday of 70, the high temperatures will be falling and back into the mid to high 50s Thursday and Friday.

UPDATE 12:29 p.m. — Optimistic forecast from earlier now revised to 79 for a high.
