Daily firecracker: ATV/UTV events join racing slate at the fair

co-fair-promo-chicken-standing-2016Racing is always a big attraction at the Kenosha County Fair.

This year will see ATV/UTV racing added to the usual line-up of sprint cars, modifieds and stocks.

The  Digger Doug’s ATV/UTV Kenosha County Fair Showdown will take place Wednesday, Aug. 17. Sign up will take place 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Practice starts at 6:30 p.m. and races begin at 7 p.m.

Digger Doug, a local 20-year pro ATV/UTV rider, presents an all new high flyin’, mogel jumping experience with both four wheelers and utility terrain vehicles. You can see some of the best riders in the Midwest compete in this all-new Fair Quad Classic.

Classes will include: UTV PRO, UTV SPORT, UTV WOMENS, ATV PRO, ATV AMATEUR, ATV UTILITY, ATV YOUTH.

Also performing at the Digger Doug’s 1st Annual ATV/UTV Showdown will be the Smage Brothers Riding Show. The Smage Brotehrs were finalists on Season 6 of America’s Got Talent.

But there’s a lot more racing at the fair.

On Friday, Aug. 19, the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series plus WingLESS Sprints, Street Stocks and Bandits will take place at the Wilmot Raceway. Gates Open at 5 p.m.; racing starts at 6:45 p.m. There is an additional fee of $5 for ages 12 and older for this racing program.

On Saturday, Aug. 20 the Kenosha County Fair/Roger Iles Tribute featuring The Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series plus Modifieds, Mini Sprints and Bandits will take place at the Wilmot Raceway. Gates open at 5 p.m.; racing starts at 6:45 p.m.  An additional fee of $5 applies for ages 12 and older.
