The Twin Lakes-based Aquanuts competed at the 50th annual Wisconsin Water Ski Show Championships in Wisconsin Rapids, on Lake Wazeecha July 21-24.

This year 25 teams from around the state came to show off their talents, and sense of humor, for some wholesome family entertainment. The annual tournament is hosted by the Aquaskiers.

The Aquanut 2016 show – “Ski or Sink” is brought to you by show director Justin Mushel and Holly Heeter. The team placed third place with only 200 points separating the top 3 teams: Rock Aqua Jays -1st (Janesville), Mad City 2nd (Madison), followed by the Aquanuts.

Swivel skier Kaila Coffey placed third in the individual swivel competition held on Thursday. Aquanut trick skier Ethan Shulda won the Mark Black Award for the best Trick Skier. The team also performed grand pyramids, ballet, barefoot acts doubles, swivel, and jump acts to round out their show.

Aquanut Shows are Wednesday and Saturdays at 6 pm on Lake Mary (Lance Park) in Twin Lakes.

Aquanut Water Shows, Inc have been sharing show skiing for 44 years with the surrounding communities in southeast Wisconsin and northwest Illinois. The Aquanuts are the 2015 National Champions.
