The National Weather Service has cancelled the excessive heat advisory it had in effect earlier for Thursday afternoon into Friday and replaced it with a heat advisory.
The high temperature is now expected to reach just 88 Thursday and 92 on Friday. However, heat index values may still reach 99 Thursday.
There’s also a 30 percent chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon and tonight and a 40 percent chance of a thunderstorm Friday.
