The National Weather Service is including Kenosha County in an excessive heat watch for Thursday and Friday.
The high temperature is expected to reach 93 on Thursday and 94 on Friday. Heat index values should be over 100 both days. The lows those days will be in the mid 70s.
At this point, the watch will be in effect from noon Thursday to 7 p.m. Friday.
Leading up to the heat wave will be high temps Tuesday and Wednesday of 85. There is a 50 percent chance of a thunderstorm Wednesday and a 40 percent chance of a thunderstorm Wednesday night.
