The National Weather Service has backed off some on its forecast of a thunderstorm this afternoon. At 2:22 p.m., the local NWS forecast says there is just a 40 percent chance of a thunderstorm happening yet this afternoon. This evening, there is a 70 percent chance of a thunderstorm.
