Paris to hold special meeting regarding intergovernmental agreement with Kenosha and lawsuit

town-of-paris-logoThe Paris Town Board will hold a special meeting at 1 p.m. at Paris Town Hall, 16607 Burlington Road (Highway 142) in Paris.

A notice distributed by the town clerk-treasurer Tuesday says the board intends to go into closed session to discuss matter related to the lawsuit against the town regarding the Somers-Pazris integovernmental agreement, an intergovernmental cooperation agreement between the Paris, the county and Kenosha and matters related to these issues.

The meeting agenda then says the board will re-convene in open session to take possible action on the item(s) discussed during the closed session and specifically to discuss and take action on the “proposed Uline and WisDot Road Plans for 29th Street to 120th Street affecting property at 2924 120th Ave, Kenosha, WI 53144 (WisDot Log #3525 – Development Submittal; West Frontage Road/Turn-Around) and Detour Approval for Hwy N.”

    What a surprise. A meeting at 1 pm. during the week. This board works for the Town. They should hold these meeting when most of the Town can attend. Nothing new though. Time for the recall.
