Wilmot’s 4×400 relay finishes 6th at state and other local boys track results

track-curve-stock-sxc-Colin-Brough-webThe Wilmot Union High School boys 4×400 meter relay team earned a sixth place finish at the Division 1 WIAA state track and field finals Saturday. The team of Anthony Poco, Jayden Jesse, Zac Schrader and Matt Cieslak posted a time of 3:20.43 in the finals on Saturday in LaCrosse.

The Wilmot boys 4×100 team of Poco, Cieslak, Anthony Klein, and Jesse posted a time of 43.58, finishing 17th in preliminaries and did not make the finals.

Wilmot pole vaulter Wyatt Heckel cleared 13-06, good enough for 12th.

For Central High School, Jacob Heibor finished 18th in the 3200 meter run finals with a time of 9:37.96 and Austin Kurylo’s time of  23.52 in the 200 meter dash was good for 22nd place in the preliminaries, which kept him out of the finals.
