Kenosha County Sheriff’s Deputy Ray Rowe, “Deputy Friendly,” came to Riverview School to talk with students in grades K-4 about the importance of being smart and saying no to strangers. He informed the students of what to do if a stranger approaches them and how to handle certain situations. Students volunteered to role play scenarios and think through what they would do if they were ever faced with that situation. Deputy Rowe also spoke to junior high students about internet safety, as well as, making safe and responsible decisions as they prepare to enter high school.
