Boater’s safety courses sponsored by the Town of Salem Water Patrol and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will take place:
- May 14 and 15.
- June 4 and 5.
Time for both courses is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Must attend both days on your chosen weekend (not both weekends).
The course will take place at Town of Salem Fire/Rescue Station #1 in Trevor, 11252 254th Court, off of Highway C, next to railroad.
This class will provide hands on training in the basics of boating, boating laws and regulations, so you can have a safe and fun boating season.
A Wisconsin Boating Safety Certification or out-of-state equivalent certification is required for operators born on or after Jan. 1, 1989. This class is open to Anyone 10 years of age or older. Fee is $10 per student; pay in class.
- Saturday: $5 donation appreciated or please bring your own bag lunch and pen.
- Sunday: Please bring your own bag lunch and pen.
Pre-registration is required .You must have a DNR customer number prior to registration. This number is found on https://gowild.wi.gov. If you do not have a DNR customer number, please call the DNR at 1-888- 936-7463. You will need to provide your date of birth along with your SSN and they will issue you a customer number.
