Sheriff’s Dept. reports possible cellular 911 outage

cellphone-tower-sxc-elvis-santana-webThe Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department has issued the following announcement regarding a possible 911 service outage for US Cellular:

Today, April 24th, 2016 at 11:54 am, the Kenosha Joint Services 911 center received a message from US Cellular that there might be a 911 cellular outage in the area of Kenosha County.  US Cellular technicians are working on identifying the problem and resolving the situation.  If citizens encounter any difficulty in contacting the Kenosha 911 center, they can use the 911 center’s non-emergency lines of 262-653-6600, 262-843-2371 or 262-537-4343 to reach the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department or any County Fire & Rescue agency. Additional information will be disseminated as it becomes available.

UPDATE April 25 9:09 a.m. — The Sheriff’s Department reports that they have been notified that the problem has been resolved.
