Spring Election 2016: Recount shows Bruenig as victor in county supervisor Dist. 21 race

A recount of the county supervisor Dist. 21 results conducted Monday still had incumbent Kim Bruenig narrowly edging challenger Mark Nordigan by 4  votes.

With final unofficial votes were counted April 5, Bruenig was leading Nordigan by 7 votes. That margin narrowed to 3 votes after canvassing, during which late arriving absentee votes were counted.

Nordigan then decided to pursue the recount. The recount total was Bruenig 958 to Nordigan 954.

Because the vote margin was within 10 votes, the county absorbed the cost of the recount.

Dist. 21 includes parts of Salem and Randall and a small portion of Twin Lakes.
