Units responding to fire in Paris

At about 5:05 p.m., Paris Fire and Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a vehicle on fire in the 3400 block of 176th Avenue in Paris.

Per dispatch: Caller reported a van on fire near a barn.

UPDATE 5:08 p.m. — Deputy responding to the scene reports large plume of dark smoke in area.

UPDATE 5:10 p.m. — Deputy on scene reports to dispatch that two vehicles appear to be involved.

UPDATE 5:11 p.m. — Dispatch reports to respondingĀ fire units that deputy on scene says barn is not involved at this time.

UPDATE 5:12 p.m. — Bristol Fire and Rescue requested to respond for mutual aid with engine. Deputy on scene reports to dispatch thatĀ van is loaded with wood and other combustibles. On fire vehicles are within 12 to 15 feet from barn.

UPDATE 5:15 p.m. — Deputy on the scene reports that a trailer attached to one of the vehicles is also on fire.

UPDATE 5:16 p.m. — Somers Fire and Rescue requested to respond with a tender (water tanker).

UPDATE 5:30 p.m. — Fire personnel at scene reports to dispatch that fire has been knocked down. Somers FD released from response with tender.
