The Friends of the Community Library will hold their Annual Dinner meeting on April 26 at the Twin Oaks Restaurant, 30807 114th St Highway C in Wilmot.
The evening will begin with a cash bar at 5:30 p.m., a short meeting at 6 p.m. and dinner at 6:15 p.m.
Following dinner Terese Allen will present a program titled “Fish Frys, Ribeyes and Highballs Oh My!”
Allen is a native of Green Bay and currently lives in Madison. She has coauthored many books and articles about the pleasures and benefits of regional foods, sustainable cooking and culinary folklore featuring Wisconsin food, culture and agriculture.
Did you ever wonder how supper clubs came about? How did Friday fish fries get started and why more Manhattans and Old Fashions are made with Brandy in Wisconsin than any other state? She will explain the how and why.
Dinner choices include a vegetarian entree of artichoke and spinach, a chicken piccatta, herb crusted Salmon, or garlic crusted pork chop. The cost will be $25 per person and reservations are required.
